DALLAS – For the second consecutive week, Missouri State brings home the CUSA Hitter of the Week award, this time with senior
Gabe Roessler being honored as the league's top offensive performer.

Roessler batted .526 and slugged .789 with nine RBIs in four games, including three-hit efforts in each game of the Bears' weekend sweep at Delaware.

The fifth-year senior from Rockton, Ill., capped his week with a 3-for-4 effort on Sunday, including a double, home run and four RBIs while scoring twice.

Roessler began the week with a 1-for-4 game at Missouri, then went 3-for-5 with three RBIs, a double, two runs and a walk on Friday at Delaware. Saturday against the Blue Hens, Roessler was 3-for-6 with two RBIs, a run scored and a stolen base. He started at second base in all four contests.

The Bears are now 24-10 overall and 12-3 in Conference USA, and host Missouri on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Hammons Field.
