
Bergman Named to Buster Posey Award Watchlist

WICHITA, Kan. – Missouri State senior catcher Carter Bergman is one of 50 catchers nationally on the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award Midseason Watchlist, announced Wednesday by the Wichita Sports Commission.

Bergman leads the Bears and ranks second in Conference USA this season with 10 home runs and a .667 slugging percentage and is batting .286 with 21 RBIs and 27 runs scored. Bergman has six multi-hit games on the year and three with four or more RBIs, including a career-high six on March 24 against Oklahoma State. He also hit his second grand slam of the season versus OSU.
