SEGUIN, Texas - Missouri State acrobatics and tumbling earned its second consecutive victory Thursday night, defeating Texas Lutheran, 242.230 - 103.525.

The Bears opened the meet with steady execution in compulsory, highlighted by a 9.550 in the pyramid heat and a 9.500 in the toss heat to finish the event with a 31.500 total and take an early lead.

Acro continued the momentum, as strong performances in the five-element heat (9.250) and seven-element heat (9.050) helped produce a 26.750 event total.
Pyramid once again proved to be a standout event. Three strong routines included a near flawless 9.950 in the open heat, the highest scoring heat of the meet. The routine featured Anna Warring, Kylynn Hanson, Sawyer Lee, Sofia Calero, Destiny McDonald, Abbie Henderlight, Briana Milton, Isabella Bezerra and Ava Rhodes, helping push the event total to 29.200.

Toss added to the score as routines of 8.950 in the 450 salto heat and 9.000 in the open heat contributed to a 26.200 total.
Tumbling delivered another boost late in the meet. A 9.275 in the aerial pass, along with a 9.125 in the six element pass and a 9.200 in the open pass, helped produce a 51.650 event total.

The meet concluded with a 76.930 in the team event, sealing the victory and bringing the final score to 242.230 for the Bears.
With the win, Missouri State secures its second straight victory of the season. The Bears continue their road stretch with trips to Azusa Pacific on March 19 and Augustana on April 4.
