OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Missouri State junior shortstop
Jax Ryan appeared on the initial Brooks Wallace Award Watch List on Wednesday, given annually to the nation's top shortstop by the College Baseball Foundation. Ryan is one of four Conference USA shortstops on the list.

Ryan has started 11 of 12 games for the Bears this season and is hitting .308 with a home run and four doubles. The Verdigris, Okla., native is slugging .487 with a .429 on-base percentage and leads Missouri State with 29 assists.
