Women's Golf Still Leading at Ozarks National

HOLLISTER, Mo. -- The Missouri State women's golf team will take the lead into the last round of the Ozarks National Invitational on Wednesday (Mar. 25). The Bears shot 295 in Tuesday's second round at Ozarks National Golf Course to take an eight-shot lead after 36 holes with a 598 total.
After their five-stroke lead entering the day had disappeared midway through Tuesday's round, the Bears shot three-under-par as a team on the back nine to regain and expand their lead. South Dakota State posted the best round of the day with a 291 to move into second place with a 606 total. South Dakota is third at 611, with UTEP (612) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (616) rounding out the top five in the 14-team field.
Freshman Chloe Bolte continues to lead the way for MoState with a 146 total after shooting even-par 72 in the second round and moving up to second place, two shots behind leader Lucia Ramirez of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Senior Kiser Pannier is tied for sixth after posting 76-73--149, while junior Coyee Zhang is eighth with 76-74--150. Junior Tierney Baumstark, playing as an individual, made a big move to 14th place after carding 80-73--153. Sophomore Marlee Edgeman is tied for 26th at 77-80--157, with junior Kyleigh Pfitzner tied for 34th with 82-76--158. Sophomore Rylie Andrews is 64th after shooting 88-81--169 while playing as an individual.
Wednesday's final round is scheduled for a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
