DURHAM, N.C. – Missouri State's Caden Bogenpohl added another preseason All-America honor to his resume Tuesday when Baseball America named the junior outfielder to its Third Team. BA's preseason All-America teams are voted on and selected by scouting departments of major league organizations.
Bogenpohl is coming off a stellar sophomore campaign during which he tied the school single-season record with 55 walks and owned a .449 on-base percentage while reaching safely in 53 of 54 games. The Jackson, Mo., native carried an on-base streak that reached 50 games from his 2024 Freshman All-America season into 2025 and batted .296 with 13 home runs and 44 RBIs last year.
Additionally, Bogenpohl received Preseason All-America honors from Perfect Game last month and is that publication's preseason CUSA Player of the Year. He is also a preseason all-CUSA pick according to the league's coaches. Through two seasons at MoState, the center fielder already ranks 10th in school history with 108 career walks and 17th with 33 home runs.
Bogenpohl and the Bears open the 2026 season Feb. 13 at Louisiana and make their home debut on Feb. 24 against Oral Roberts. Season tickets for the Bears' 27-game home schedule are on sale and fans can purchase online at this link.
