STUNT Bears Go 1-3 at Oklahoma Baptist Invitational

Shawnee, Okla. - Missouri State STUNT (5-3) beat Southern Nazarene and lost to Arizona State, Oklahoma Baptist, and Oklahoma State at a four-game away slate hosted by Oklahoma Baptist.

Game One

Arizona State 28, Missouri State 13

The Sun Devils opened up the first half in dominant fashion, earning five points to the Bears, one in the partner stunts and three points to the Bears', one in the pyramids and tosses. In the third quarter, the Bears fought back in the jumps and tumbling, earning five points to the Sun Devils six. But it wasn't enough to come back, and Arizona State ran away with the victory in the fourth quarter team routines, winning 14 points to the Bears' six.

Game Two

Oklahoma Baptist 24, Missouri State 2

The Bison were simply too strong across the entire game only letting up two points to the Bears in the second quarter of pyramids and tosses. The dominant performance earned the Bison four points in the first quarter, five in the second, four in the third and 11 in the fourth.

Game Three

Missouri State 28, Southern Nazarene 8

The Bears were consistent across all four quarters securing their victory over the Crimson Storm. They kicked off the game with four points won in the partner stunts without conceding a point. In the pyramids and tosses, the Bears solidified their lead with four points earned to the Crimson Storms' two. In the third quarter of jumps and tumbling, the Bears won six points against the Crimson Storms' three. The Bears secured victory with a stellar performance in the team routines, receiving 14 points to the Crimson Storms' three.

Game Four

Oklahoma State 25, Missouri State 4

Oklahoma State opened the partner stunt impressively earning four points and conceding none. In the second quarter of pyramids and tosses, Oklahoma State won five points to the Bears one to race ahead on the scoreboard. In the jumps and tumbling Oklahoma State won four points to the Bears one. Oklahoma State finished off the fourth quarter of team routines with 12 points earned to the Bears two.

Missouri State STUNT returns to action on Friday, Feb. 20 for two days of competition against University of Kentucky, Cal Poly, Hope International University (Calif.), and University of Central Arkansas as part of the Dallas Baptist Tournament in Dallas, Texas.
