SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State swimming & diving completed its 2025-26 schedule, head coach
Dave Collins announced Thursday. Both the Bears' men's and women's teams will compete in the Missouri Valley Conference this season, where they look to build on a lengthy run of success in that league.
Â
The Bears host four home meets at the Hammons Student Center Pool, beginning with a two-day dual against Southern Illinois on Oct. 3-4.
Â
"We look forward to continuing our goal of creating a fun and high-energy atmosphere at our home meets," said Collins. "Adding a DJ a few years ago really boosted the experience for our athletes and fans. College swim meets can and should be lots of fun to experience so we hope to have some big crowds at Hammons this year."
Â
MoState remains home for its second competition of the season Oct. 17-18. The men will swim against Ouachita Baptist while the women face Indiana State. MSU also hosts cross-town rival Drury on Jan. 17 in its final home competition.
Â
The Bears have road meets at Omaha (Oct. 31-Nov. 1), the House of Champions Invitational in Indianapolis (Nov. 20-22), Drury (Jan. 16) and UIC (Jan. 30-31), before the MVC Championships take place Feb. 25-28 in Evansville, Ind.
Â
"This year's MVC Championships will have a new look as we combine the men's and women's meets into one big meet in Evansville," added Collins. "This move will double the excitement and energy on the pool deck, no doubt."
Â
Missouri State has enjoyed significant success in the MVC meet over the years, with the women claiming 21 of the last 24 titles and the men bringing home five team championships, most recently in 2003. The league did not sponsor men's swimming from 2004-24 before adding it back last season.
