
Swim and Dive Bears Honored with CSCAA Scholar All-America Team and Individual Honors

Four members of the Missouri State Swimming and Diving men's teams have been selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) to the 2025-26 CSCAA Individual Scholar All-American Teams presented by Fitter & Faster Swim Camps.
Kiefer Roemer was named to the first team after an incredible freshman year in the pool and in the classroom. Classmate Zach Mendez was named to the second team along with Ilias El Fallaki who is entering his junior year this fall, and 2026 spring graduate Luigi Da Silva.
Roemer met the criteria to qualify for the distinction of First-Team Scholar All-America, by earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participating in the national championship.
Mendez, El Fallaki and Da Silva met the criteria for Second-Team selections, by also earning also a 3.5 GPA or higher and meeting an NIC "A" time standard in Division I or an NCAA "B" qualifying standard for the national championship or qualifying for a diving zone qualification meet for Division II, Division III, and NAIA.
Missouri State Swimming and Diving men's and women's teams have also been selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) to the Scholar All-America Team presented by Fitter & Faster Swim Camps for the Spring 2026 semester. The Bears' dedication to excellence both in the pool and in the classroom is highlighted once again with this honor.
The women's team earned its place with a cumulative 3.54 GPA across 21 participants. The men earned theirs with a cumulative 3.43 GPA across 21 participants.
In order to qualify for the distinction, each team across the NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA and junior college and community college associations were required to post a team cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher during the Spring 2026 semester.
