SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State men's basketball head coach
Cuonzo Martin has added 6-foot-10 forward Cameron Boone to the Bears roster for next season.
Boone played the past two seasons at John A. Logan College in Carterville, Ill., where he helped lead coach Tyler Smithpeters' Vols to the NJCAA Division I Tournament in 2024-25. He averaged 3.7 points and 4.1 rebounds for a 23-10 team with 13 starts as a sophomore, shooting 55.0 percent from the field and 70.8 percent at the line. Likewise, he averaged 4.0 points and 4.6 rebounds as a freshman at Logan, converting 55.6 percent from the field.Â
"Cam Boone is a young man of strength, toughness, and commitment," said Martin. "He's gotten better every year because he shows up with focus, determination, and a genuine love for the game. A physical athlete with good mobility, his hunger to improve, lead, and work hard lifts everyone around him."
Before his time at Logan, Boone helped lead East St. Louis (Ill.) High School to the state semifinals his senior season as part of a 26-9 season in 2022-23, averaging 4.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 blocks in a starting role for coach Mark Chambers' Flyers.
