Missouri State men's golf coach
Neal Stafford has announced the addition of a highly-touted Spaniard to his 2025 recruiting class. The latest to join the Bears is Pedro Gallegos (pronounced guy-AY-gose) of Madrid, Spain, the top-ranked player in the Class of 2025 onward.
Gallegos has been ranked as high as no. 443 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and has won three WAGR events over the last year and finished in the top 10 in six others. In February, he competed at the Spanish Amateur Copa S M El Rey in a very strong field and missed the match play cut by just a shot. Gallegos joins local standout Noah Naugle of Nixa, Mo. as Bear newcomers for next season.
"We are very excited to welcome Pedro to the Missouri State Bears Golf family," said Stafford. "He is a huge addition to our class of 2025 and I am thrilled that he has decided to be a Bear! He is a proven player and a terrific student. Pedro has high aspirations to play professional golf after college and is the perfect fit for our program as we reach for new heights joining Conference USA this July! I anticipate he and Noah (Naugle) making a big impact right away to give our team a much-needed boost next fall."
