Missouri State tennis will open its final season of Missouri Valley Conference play on the road with a visit to Valparaiso on Saturday, March 22 and UIC on Sunday, March 23.
Last season, the Bears defeated both teams back-to-back in 4-3 matches at home.
MoState leads Valparaiso 6-1 all-time and is tied with UIC 2-2.
Last time out, Lucy Latham took her opponent to the ropes when Missouri State played Oral Roberts. Latham won her first set 6-4 before dropping the second and third sets. It was her first match in over a month.
Romy Pols pushed her opponent to the limit with a 7-5, 7-5 loss at No. 5 to see her smallest margin of loss since moving into the No. 5 spot.
Missouri State will depart the Missouri Valley Conference at the conclusion of the athletic year to move to Conference USA.
