RICHMOND, Va. - Both Missouri State men's & women's swimming & diving teams have been named a Fall 2024 Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced on Monday.

The men's and women's teams are among the 781 selected among 459 institutions across the NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and NJCAA levels. Teams are recognized by earning exceptional grade point averages during the Fall 2023 semester. Both Missouri State men's and women's teams were among the 654 that earned a GPA of 3.30 or higher, qualifying them for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.

The women's team was recognized with a 3.51 GPA, up from a 3.43 GPA it had the previous fall. The men's team also improved from a 3.22 GPA in fall 2023 with a fall 2024 GPA of 3.35.

"The commitment to academic excellence demonstrated by these teams is truly admirable," Samantha Barany, CSCAA Executive Director said. "It is inspiring to see student-athletes excel both in the pool and in the classroom. The CSCAA takes great pride in honoring and celebrating their dedication and achievements."

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy and professional development.
