MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Missouri State tennis dropped a road match against No. 71 Middle Tennessee on Monday afternoon, 6-1.
Sandra Lukacova highlighted the match for the Bears (1-10). The senior defeated MTSU's Zenn Lim 6-4 in the first set before losing the second by the same margin. The match then moved into a 10-point tie breaker set instead of a traditional six-point set. Lukacova and Limm battled it out, but Lukacova came out victorious with a 10-6 win.
Lukacova's match win is the first for the Bears since Feb. 9 and it was the second time the senior faced a three set match this season. She is now 2-2 in tiebreakers during dual matches.
The Bears will be back on the road this weekend to face old rival SEMO on Friday, Feb. 28 and North Alabama on Saturday, March 1. Both matches will be played at a neutral site in Paducah, Ky.
