SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State acrobatics and tumbling lost to No. 15 Duquesne 254.215-140.375 at home on Saturday.

The Bears (0-4) won one heat during the meet. With a start value of 9.70, MoState scored 8.70 in the first heat of the pyramid event which focuses on inversion. The Dukes scored 7.70 out of 10.

Missouri State saw its fewest total deductions in the fourth event. Through three heats of tosses, the Bears were only deducted 1.90 points for an event score of 25.15 points. In both the first and second heats, MoState was only deducted .40 points.

The heat with the fewest deductions was the fourth heat of the tumbling event. Freshman
EllaRose Gosier was deducted .35 points in her aerial tumbling pass for a score of 8.40. Gosier has competed every aerial pass for the Bears so far this season and is averaging only .492 points of deductions.
