Missouri State women's tennis will head to Missouri and Southern Illinois at Edwardsville this weekend for two matches in two days.
The Bears and Tigers have not met since Jan. 31, 2020, when Missouri won 4-0 in Columbia. The Tigers lead MoState 7-5 all-time.
Missouri State and SIUE are tied at 3-3 in the series. Last season, the Bears and Cougars battled it out in Edwardsville. MoState lost, 4-3, with three wins in singles.
Head coach Austin Hale led the team to the first team win of the season against Central Arkansas on Sunday, Feb. 9. The Bears swept doubles and won 6-1.
Billur Gonlusen and Raluca Puscas are both on four-match winning streaks for the month of February. Puscas swept her first opponent on Feb. 7 when she defeated Kansas City's Annalise Smith, 6-0, 6-0.
The Bears are in the midst of a busy month. In February, Missouri State will play nine matches with five more on the road.
