SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State piled up the 12
th-highest point total in school history Saturday evening in a 106-57 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State at GSB Arena.

The Bears (2-0) shot 41-for-68 from the floor, including 72 percent from two-point range while placing six scorers in double figures. MoState's 41 field goals were the team's most in at least a decade, while its 32 assists were just three shy of the school record.

Keith Palek III led all scorers with 20 points along with eight assists,
Darrion Sutton collected a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while
Kobi Williams (12),
Zaxton King (12),
Amar Kuljuhovic (11) and
Trey Williams Jr. (11) also reached double figures. All 10 Bears who saw playing time found the scoring column.

It wasn't until the 16:30 mark in the first half that the Bears knocked down their first field goal, beginning a 12-for-16 sequence that included eight straight points from King in a 65-second stretch, seven consecutive from Palek and six more mixed in from Sutton for a 32-8 lead with 7:43 to play before halftime.

The Bears added a 16-0 run late in the opening period to take a 55-21 lead into the break and continued to grow the lead to as many as 50 points late in the contest.

MoState knocked down 10 3-pointers led by
Trey Williams Jr. with three and owned a 52-25 rebounding margin with 10 players collecting multiple boards. The Bears corraled 13 consecutive rebounds at one point during the game.

Kobi Williams had six assists as all 10 Bears tallied at least one helper as well in a balanced effort.
