- The Missouri State women's tennis team is back at it with a dual against Arkansas State to begin the spring season. The Bears and Red Wolves will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Friday in Jonesboro, Ark. The match will be live streamed for free by Arkansas State.
- Arkansas State leads the Bears 13-10 all-time. Last season, Missouri State defeated the Red Wolves 4-1 in the first home match of the year. Then freshman, Tuana Gunal secured her first spring singles win with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Yasmine Humbert.
- The Bears traveled to three tournaments during the fall. Junior transfer Billur Gonlusen recorded a winning singles record of 5-3 in the fall.
- Both Gonlusen and Gunal bring winning doubles records into the spring. When playing together, the pair of Turks went 3-1 and swept their doubles matches at the UCA Fall Tournament.
- Five Bears return to the team with four newcomers. Lucy Latham and Romy Pols begin their collegiate careers while Gonlusen and Raluca Puscas transferred into the program.
- A new era is afoot for Missouri State tennis. Austin Hale was named head coach on Aug. 21 and is the 12th head coach in Bears women's tennis history.
