NASHVILLE – The Missouri State tennis team's season came to an end with a 4-0 loss to No. 3 seed UIC in the first round of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament on Friday in Nashville.

Three Bears won early sets in singles play but did not have the opportunity to finish their matches. In the No. 5 match,
Juliette Robinson snagged the first set with a 6-4 win over UIC's Zara Ryan.
Tuana Gunal won a first-set tiebreaker at No. 3 match against Mayu Ushio. All-MVC selection
Sandra Lukacova battled through a first-set tie breaker at No. 6 to win 8-6 over Anais Brion.

UIC won the doubles point, then clinched the victory over MSU with straight set wins at No. 1, No. 4 and No. 2 singles.

The Bears (13-9) wrap up the season with the most team wins the program has had since 2003. They also had an 8-1 record at home to have a home winning record for the first time since 2019.
