Keeping Track of the Bears
  • The Missouri State track and field team is hitting the road for the Gorilla Classic hosted by Pittsburg State on Feb. 9 and 10.
  • MoState will send 29 athletes to compete across 11 events in the span of two days.
  • Approximately, 1,250 athletes will compete in the classic.
  • This is the Bears third and final trip to Pittsburg State during the indoor season.
  • The Bears have recorded 17 top-10 finishes at Pitt State this season.
  • Freshman Olivia Rogers won her first race as a Bear when she ran the 60-meter dash in 7.66 seconds during the Bear's last trip.
  • The Bears are coming off a trip to Nebraska for the Frank Sevigne Invitational that saw few top-10 finishes and personal records.
  • Junior Kamdyn Moody had three top-10 finishes on the first day of the Sevigne Invite with an eight-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.25, a sixth-place finish in high jump with an attempt of 1.55 meters and another sixth-place finish in shot put with an attempt of 10.69 meters.
  • Missouri State is ranked 23rd in the Midwest by the USTFCCCA.
