PEORIA, Ill. – Despite losing the cumulative score by just one total point, Missouri State fell 3-1 at Bradley Friday evening by set scores of 25-20, 26-24, 14-25, 25-20 inside Renaissance Coliseum.

Rilynn Finley tallied 18 kills to move her season total 299, good for 10
th all-time among MSU freshmen, and
Iva Halacheva hit .417 with 12 kills.

Bradley (12-14, 7-7 Missouri Valley Conference) owned a .247-.207 advantage in hitting efficiency, with the stats nearly even across the board aside from an 8-3 blocking lead for the Braves.

The opening set was close until BU opened up a 15-11 margin and kept it at 2-5 for the remainder of the set.

The Bears (10-16, 4-10) grabbed a 10-5 advantage in the second, Bradley ripped off a 7-1 run to lead 12-11, and it was tied 10 more times to 24-all before the home team scored the final two points for a 2-0 match lead.

MoState dominated the third set, jumping ahead 8-2 and never being challenged. The Bears committed just three errors and hit .275 with 14 kills and three aces.

The Braves piled up 17 kills in the fourth set to seal the win and fended off a late MSU rally after the Bears served for the tie down 16-15. BU answered that with three consecutive and never let MoState closer than 20-18 from there.

Morgan Sprague collected her 17
th double-double of the season with 27 assists and 11 digs, while
Kate Owen and
Rossana Papa also collected 11 digs each.
Lexi Weinberg served multiple aces for the first time in her career.

MoState visits Illinois State (13-14, 8-6) at 5 p.m. Saturday. The Redbirds beat Southern Illinois 3-1 on Friday.
