SPRINGFIELD – St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Famer Willie McGee will headline Missouri State baseball's Step Up to the Plate event, presented by Loren Cook Company, scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Old Glass Place (521 E St. Louis St.) in Springfield.

Bears supporters and baseball fans alike will have the chance to be a part of the fifth edition of the Bears' fundraising dinner, which will also include live and silent auctions. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with a buffet dinner served at 6 p.m. and a program featuring a Q&A with the former St. Louis Cardinal great to follow. A cash bar will also be available.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Missouri State baseball program. Advance tickets are available at three pricing tiers: 

• $1,100/table – Group photo with Willie McGee and seated nearest the stage (tables of 10)
• $800/table – Group photo with Willie McGee & Section of tables in middle of room (tables of 10)
• $600/table – Section of tables furthest from stage (tables of 8)

Individual tickets may also be purchased for $75. No walk-up or day-of-event sales will be available.

McGee will not sign autographs at the event.
