MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Missouri State tennis team wrapped up its fall events at the ITA Central Regional in Memphis, Tenn. on Friday.
Lucy Latham claimed the Bears' sole victory in her Wednesday afternoon singles match. The freshman from Tulsa, Okla., faced Kansas' Simryn Jacob in the first round of the B-Draw. Latham took the first set 6-2 before cruising to victory by winning the second set 6-1. It is her largest margin of victory as a Bear and her first win over a Big 12 opponent. Her run in the tournament came to an end by the same margin in the Round of 16 to Minnesota's Deniz Turan.
The Bears will return for the spring duel season in January. All home matches will be played at Cooper Tennis Complex and admission in free.
