INDIANAPOLIS – Missouri State women's basketball head coach Beth Cunningham has been appointed to the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Competition Committee, the organization announced recently.
 
Cunningham will represent Missouri State and the Missouri Valley Conference as she serves a four-year term, which officially began on Aug. 1. Members oversee and make rules recommendations regarding student-athlete health, sportsmanship, integrity, game operations, game presentation, technology and statistical trends.
 
"It is an honor to be selected as a member of the NCAA Competition Committee," said Cunningham. "I am looking forward to working with the other committee members from all facets of the sport as we strive to continue to elevate the game of women's basketball."
 
Cunningham enters her second season at the helm of the Lady Bears program and will be part of the NCAA Women's Basketball Competition Committee until 2027.
