MSU Twosome Recognized by Valley

A pair of Missouri State women's golfers have been honored by the Missouri Valley Conference for their performances last week. Junior Kayla Pfitzner and freshman Kiser Pannier were named MVC Golfers of the Week, along with Avalon Woodward of Illinois State, after tying for 17th at the Rio Verde Invitational, Feb. 24-26 in Rio Verde, Ariz.
All three golfers tallied 226 totals with Pfitzner carding 78-76-72 and Pannier 75-77-74. This marks the second MVC weekly honor for each Bear. MSU placed fifth in the 18-team field at Rio Verde. Pfitzner currently ranks second for the Bears with a 76.04 scoring average and Pannier fourth at 77.04.
MSU is off this week, but returns to action next Monday and Tuesday (Mar. 13-14) at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Boulder City, Nev.
