SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State's annual Maroon and White spring football game will take on a different flavor this year with the addition of a family-friendly afternoon of games, player interaction and tailgating ahead of the team's annual intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday, April 15.
 
The festivities will begin at 1 p.m. with a FREE on-field fan fest featuring a dunk tank, autographs and games for fans of all ages. Likewise, tailgating in the BearFest Village area north of the stadium will also begin at 1 p.m., with free Jimmy John's and Pizza Ranch food provided with Coke products, while supplies last. Fans may also bring their own food and beverages to the tailgate.
 
No power or unloading lanes will be available for the spring game tailgate.
 
A four-quarter modified intrasquad scrimmage will commence at 4 p.m. at Plaster Stadium with coach 
Ryan Beard's squad concluding its spring drills with an exciting conclusion to the day's events.
 
Stadium seating will be available on the stadium's east (student) side, lower-west side and the north end zone berm. Basic stadium amenities, including concessions, will also be available.
 
There will also be gate giveaways, schedules and season ticket information available at the stadium for the scrimmage.
 
Beard has 83 players in camp this spring, which includes 75 returning players, 44 lettermen and 10 starters. Season ticket information is available
