SPRINGFIELD -- Wednesday (Dec. 20) marks the beginning of the Division I football early signing period. The signing period extends through Dec. 22 for high school players and through Jan. 15 for mid-year transfers.  The regular signing period begins on Wednesday, Feb. 7.
