On the Pitch
  • Missouri State women's soccer (10-1-5, 5-0-3 Missouri Valley Conference) will play its last home game of the regular season at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium when it takes on Southern Illinois (1-10-5, 0-7-2 MVC).
  • Thursday's match is only the fourth meeting between the Bears and Salukis.
  • MoState leads the series 3-0-0 all-time. MSU and SIU have only played in Springfield once before which the Bears won 4-1 (4/7/2021).
  • Missouri State is the last team in the MVC to be unbeaten in conference play with a 5-0-3 record during the conference season. The Bears also have the fewest losses this season of any MVC team with one loss (9/10 vs. Missouri).
  • With only two games left in the regular season for the Bears, they have a chance to clinch their first ever MVC regular season championsip. MoState is in second place in the conference standings with 18 points. Drake leads the conference with 19.
  • Camielle Day is up to 45 saves and nine shutouts this season. Day is ranked 12th for her .474 goals against average. Day's save percentage is .865 which lands her 20th nationally.
  • With nine shutouts under her belt, Day is ranked 5th in the country and first in the MVC.
  • Nine shutouts in a season is the current school record. It has onlt been done twice in school history by Jennifer Grocki in 2000 and by Day in 2022.
  • No one has scored on the Bears since Sept. 21 when MSU defeated Illinois State 4-1.
