Tennis Bears Head to Omaha Duals

SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State women's tennis is back in action this weekend, traveling to the two-day Omaha Duals, beginning Friday afternoon at 1 p.m.

The Bears will compete against Nebraska Omaha, Creighton and Missouri Valley conference foe Northern Iowa.

On Friday, MSU begins in doubles action against Creighton and UNI and finish the day with singles action against Omaha.

On Saturday, MoState begins with doubles action against Omaha before continuing singles play vs. Creighton and UNI.

Fri., Sept. 30
                        1 p.m. Doubles: Omaha vs. UNI; Creighton vs. MSU
                        2 p.m. Doubles: Omaha vs. Creighton; UNI vs. MSU
                        3 p.m. Singles: Omaha vs. MSU; UNI vs. Creighton

Sat., Oct. 1
                        9:30 a.m. Doubles: Creighton vs. UNI; Omaha vs. MSU
                        10:30 a.m. Singles: Creighton vs. MSU; Omaha vs. UNI
                        1 p.m. Singles: Creighton vs. Omaha; UNI vs. MSU

"We're excited to head up to Omaha this weekend for our hidden dual with Omaha, Creighton, and UNI," head coach Ellie Burger said. "We've been working hard on different elements of our game, and I'm looking forward to seeing the girls execute those pieces."

The Bears enter the Omaha Duals after posting a combined record of 11-15 in singles and doubles play at the UCA Fall Invitational, two weeks ago.

After the Omaha Duals, MSU will look ahead to the MVC Individual Championships in Springfield, Oct. 7-9.
