Volleyball Earns AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the ninth time in the last 10 years, Missouri State's volleyball team earned the United States Marine Corps/American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, the AVCA announced Monday.
The Bears posted a 3.60 cumulative grade point average in the spring semester to raise their GPA to 3.44 for the academic year and meet the 3.30 qualifying standard. MSU student-athletes combined for 29 semesters on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (3.0 GPA or higher), finishing with a GPA of 3.6 or better a total of 19 times over the fall and spring semesters.
The volleyball Bears begin the 2022 season at home with the annual Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational Aug. 26-28 at Hammons Student Center. MSU welcomes Tennessee Tech, Central Arkansas and Oral Roberts, and opens the event at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26 against TTU. The Bears also host Arkansas in an exhibition match at 6 p.m. on Aug. 18.
