Missouri State Summer Baseball Camp Open for Registration

SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State's summer baseball camp is now open for registration. The Bears will host a two-day camp June 7-8 at Hammons Field for ages 7-14. The camp takes place from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. each day with a total cost of $100, which includes an MSU baseball hat or t-shirt.

The purpose of the camp is to provide each camper with two exciting days of baseball activity that will increase his knowledge of the game, develop his personal skill level, and teach him techniques for the improvement of overall play.

The camp day will revolve around six main areas of concentration. Each phase is designed to increase skill level and overall understanding of a particular area of the game. A minimum of one instructor for each 10 campers will be employed.

The six phases of the camp include:
1. Hitting
2. Individual Position Play
3. Sliding
4. Fielding
5. Base Running
6. Throwing

Batting helmets will be provided for use during the camp. Camps are open to all entrants (except by age, number of participants, and/or grade level).
