St. LOUIS – Missouri State's Morgan Sprague earned Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week honors for the second time this season Monday for her performances during the opening weekend of the league play.

Sprague averaged a league-best 12 assists per set, adding 3.00 digs and 0.50 blocks while setting the volleyball Bears to a .235 attack efficiency.

The Ballwin, Mo., native dished dished out a career-best 51 assists in Saturday's win over Valpo, adding 14 digs and two blocks as the Bears hit .255 as a team. Friday, Sprague had 45 assists, two kills and two blocks in four sets against Loyola.

Missouri State (10-4, 1-1 MVC) visits Illinois State at 6 p.m. Friday and Bradley at 4 p.m. Saturday.
