April 22, 2021

ST. LOUIS – The Missouri State women's tennis program had three players garner Missouri Valley Conference postseason honors, the league announced Thursday.

Ellie Burger (Sr., Chesterfield, Mo.), and Tiffani Nash (Fr., Bossier City, La.) were named All-MVC while Hana Sisirak (Gr., Halmstad, Sweden) was named All-Select MVC.

Burger is one of the most decorated players in program history with a 42-17 career record. The Chesterfield, Mo., product's .712 winning percentage is the second-best mark all-time. She holds an 11-5 singles record this season while competing in both the No. 1 and 2 singles positions.

Sisirak has been impressive in singles play the last two weeks while competing in the No. 1 flight. She is currently on a three-match winning streak with wins over Valparaiso, Northern Iowa and Drake. Sisirak is in her first season with MSU after transferring from UAB where she competed her first two collegiate season.

"Ellie and Hana played very well in our regular season and I can't wait to see them this weekend," head coach Hannah Keeling said. "They are an example of hard work and perseverance. I am happy their hard work is being recognized. It has truly been a pleasure to have them on the team."

Nash has a team-best, 14-3 singles record this season while competing primarily in the No. 3 flight. She has been on fire over the course of the last two months as she is currently on an 11-match winning streak. Nash's 14 wins are the most by a Bear since 2006 when Nora Kuruc won 15.

"Tiffani has had a phenomenal season coming in as a freshman," Keeling added. "She is an example of a student-athlete and I cannot be happier for her to make All MVC team. The sky is the limit for her."

The Bears kick off the MVC Championships this Friday, April 23 at 10 a.m. when they host Valparaiso at Cooper Tennis Complex.
