St. LOUIS – Missouri State junior outside hitter
Amelia Flynn collected her third Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week award of the season Tuesday after averaging 4.88 kills on .323 hitting and 4.13 digs per set in first-place Missouri State's two home wins against Evansville.
Flynn amassed 24 kills and 21 digs in Monday's five-set victory, hitting .291 and registering the first 20-20 match at MSU since
Lily Johnson in 2017.
On Sunday, the Lake St. Louis, Mo., native hit .368 with 15 kills and just one error, adding 12 digs in three sets. Flynn now has 11 double-doubles on the season in 13 matches.
The Bears sit atop the MVC standings at 7-1 in league play and 11-2 overall, and head to Loyola (6-3, 5-3) March 7-8 for a pivotal series in Chicago.
