"We are ready to be on the road this weekend to face two good teams," head coach Hannah Keeling said. "It will be a great experience playing a top-school like Oklahoma State."
The first match will occur on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. against Central Arkansas (4-6). UCA has been a familiar foe for MSU as both teams competed in the Central Arkansas Invitational this fall. Central Arkansas leads the all-time series 5-0 and defeated MSU 5-2 in the last meeting between the teams a year ago.
Following the match against Central Arkansas, the Bears have a quick turnaround as they play host Oklahoma State (2-3) at 3:30 p.m. Oklahoma State leads the all-time series with the MSU 7-0.
The Bears (1-4) are coming off a pair of losses to SEMO last weekend. MSU earned its first doubles point of the season in the Saturday match as Ellie Burger and Claire Martin grabbed a victory at No. 2 doubles (7-5), while Alyson Piskulic and Hana Sisirak clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 victory in the No. 3 spot. Burger also recorded an individual win in No. 1 singles Saturday, while Tiffani Nash garnered her third win of the season in the No. 4 spot on Friday.
After this weekend's matches, the Bears will be back in action Thursday, March 4, when they host Saint Louis at 12:30 p.m. inside the Cooper Tennis Complex.
