
Tennis Bears to Send Three to Central ITA Regional

SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri State women's tennis team will send three singles entries and one doubles team to compete at the ITA Regional Championships this week, taking place from Thursday through Tuesday in Iowa City.
The University of Iowa will be the host school for the central regional, which will feature 28 schools from the area. The tournament will take place at the HTRC in Iowa City, Iowa.
"The ITA Regional Tournament is a great tourney for us to compete in," said head coach Randall Knox. "It has so many great players from Power Five schools to mid majors and I'm looking forward to these young women go against such great competition."
Tiffani Nash, Tiera Jarmond and Alyson Piskulic will all compete in the singles competition, while Jarmond and Piskulic will also make up the lone doubles pair competing for the Bears.Â
Nash, Jarmond and Piskulic have a combined five singles wins this season.Â
"I'm excited to see all the hard work we have put in this fall with practices, workouts and other tournaments, come full circle at this event," said Knox.Â
The ITA Regional Championship will conclude the fall schedule for the Bears and send them into the off-season to prepare for the upcoming spring season. Â
