CONWAY, ARK. – The Missouri State tennis team grabbed four more singles wins to conclude the Central Arkansas Invitational Saturday.
 
"We had a really strong finish to this tournament," head coach Mallory Weber said. "We had players put into higher lineup positions than they had ever played and I couldn't be happier with how they competed and won."   
 
Taylor Shaw, Tiffani Nash, Claire Martin and Mary Houston each picked up singles wins against Louisiana Monroe to end the tournament strong. Shaw won in the first flight, Nash won in the third, Martin won in the fifth and Houston won in the sixth.
 
Friday, the doubles pair of Ellie Burger and Alyson Piskulic defeated the duo in the first flight from Louisiana Monroe 8-3.
 
To begin the singles matches on Friday, Taylor Shaw and Piskulic each won their match against host team Central Arkansas. Shaw won in the third flight and Piskulic won in the fifth.
 
The Bears finished Friday with two more singles wins from Piskulic and Claire Martin against UT-Chattanooga. Martin won in the sixth flight.
 
Up next for the Bears is a road trip to Monroe, La. on Friday, Oct. 9-10 for the ULM Fall Invitational.
