LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the eighth consecutive year, Missouri State's volleyball team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association's (AVCA) Team Academic Award, the organization announced Monday.

The Bears recorded an impressive 3.59 cumulative grade point average during the spring semester to move their GPA to 3.38 for the year and meet the 3.30 qualifying standard. A total of 11 student-athletes posted a 3.0 GPA for the 2019-20 academic year, six exceeded 3.50, and one had a perfect 4.0 mark.

The 2020 volleyball Bears return nine players from last year's club for first-year head coach Steven McRoberts.
