FORT WORTH, Texas – Missouri State's rugged early-season beach volleyball schedule continued Saturday as the Bears suffered a pair of 5-0 losses to No. 1 LSU and 16th-ranked TCU at the TCU Beach Volleyball Courts.

The Bears (3-9) have now played six opponents ranked 17th or higher in their first 12 matches and competed well Saturday at several positions against top-level competition.

Against the top-ranked Tigers, MSU's No. 2 pair of Chloe Tome and Kendra Sater extended their match to a 19-17 final in the third set. In the TCU match, Grace Cook and Rachel Tam went the distance in the third flight before falling 15-11 in the final set.

The Bears are idle until March 18, when they begin a four-day, six-match road trip in Southern California.
