Women's Golf Looks to Climb Leaderboard at Kiawah Island Classic

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – 
Missouri State women's golf falls to 42nd place after 36 holes at the 2020 Kiawah Island Classic. The team carded 311-321 (+56) in its first two rounds at the Osprey Point Golf Club in Kiawah Island, S.C.

Sophomores Faith Belmear (73-83) and Abby Cavaiani (74-82) lead the Bears with totals of 156. Junior Bridget Schulte (80-79) follows three strokes behind, while sophomore Allison Bray (84-78) and freshman Johanna Wollenhaupt (87-82) round out the Missouri State squad. No players are competing in the individual tournament.

Boston University (289-286) sits at the top of the 53-team leaderboard one-under-par. Florida Gulf Coast (289-291) and host College of Charleston (281-301) place second and third, respectively. IUPUI (288-299) and Stetson (300-288) round out the tournament's top-five teams after day two.

Missouri State women's golf looks to climb the leaderboard in the 54-hole event in tomorrow's final round, which begins at 8:45 a.m. Live scoring is available on Golfstat.com.
