Missouri State women's golf is tied for 32nd after its first round at the 2020 Kiawah Island Classic. The team carded a total of 311 (+23) in its first day of play at the Osprey Point Golf Club in Kiawah Island, S.C.

Sophomore Faith Belmear carded a one-over par 73 to lead the Bears in the opening round followed by sophomore Abby Cavaiani (74), junior Bridget Schulte (80), sophomore Allison Bray (84) and freshman Johanna Wollenhaupt (87). Missouri State has no players competing in the individual tournament.

Host College of Charleston (281) sits at the top of the 53-team leaderboard, while IUPUI (288) places second at even par. Boston University and Florida Gulf Coast tie in third with 289, while SCAD Savannah (292) rounds out the top-five teams after day one.

Missouri State women's golf looks to climb the leaderboard in the 54-hole event with 18 holes each tomorrow and Tuesday. The second round will begin with a morning wave 8:45 a.m. ET shot gun start followed by an afternoon wave 1:30 p.m. ET shotgun start. Live scoring is available on Golfstat.com.
