SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Missouri State's tennis team opens its home schedule with two non-conference games against Murray State (Feb. 7) and South Dakota (Feb. 9) at Cooper Tennis Complex. The Bears face Murray State Friday night at 7 p.m. and continue their homestand Sunday at 10 a.m.

The Bears hold a 1-2 mark on the young season, most recently dropping a tough contest against in-state rival Missouri.
Ellie Burger leads the Bears in singles with a 2-1 record in the No. 4 position, sweeping the first weekend of the season at North Dakota and Creighton.

Last season, MSU fell 6-1 to Murray State on the road. This is the Bears' first spring meeting with South Dakota.
