Tennis Bears On The Road At UCA

SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri State tennis team heads to Conway, Ark. for another Invitational at Central Arkansas Friday, Oct. 16-17 at the Conway Tennis Center. The Bears opened the season at UCA in September and were supposed to travel to Monroe, La. last weekend for the Warhawk Invitational, but it was canceled due to Hurricane Delta.

The pair of Ellie Burger and Alyson Piskulic grabbed a doubles win at the first UCA Invite. Piskulic, Taylor Shaw and Claire Martin each snagged two singles wins and Tiffani Nash and Mary Houston each got one singles win at UCA.

"We are looking forward to getting back on court for competition," head coach Mallory Weber said. "This is a really strong field so we will have great challenges throughout the lineup. I'm looking forward to see how we have grown from our first tournament."

The Invitational is a five team tournament consisting of Louisiana Tech, Central Arkansas, Oral Roberts and Arkansas State. MSU holds an all-time dual record of 3-0 against Louisiana Tech, 0-5 against UCA, 5-4 with Oral Roberts and 9-11 against Arkansas State.
