JONESBORO, Ark. – The Missouri State men's golf team finished in sixth place here Tuesday at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate.

The Bears rallied to shoot a 292—the fourth-best score on the day—after finishing tied for seventh thru two rounds yesterday (Oct. 12) with scores of 303 and 300. The 895 team total placed MSU sixth in the 10-team field with host Arkansas State winning the two-day competition.

Crimson Callahan shot two under par (70) in the final round to finish tied for 20th overall and pace the Bears with a 222 total. Max Kriekemeier posted a 74 for his final 18 after scores of 75 and 74 on day one.

Lukas McCalla and Christopher Obert both tied for 28th with a total score of 226 apiece. McCalla went even on the day with a 72 while Obert recorded a 77 to round out the scoring for the Bears.

Sophomores JP Lavalle and Eric Byun each recorded a 76 in the final round with Lavalle finishing with an overall tally of 231 and Byun with a 235.

Missouri State is back on the course next week with the Little Rock Invitational on Oct. 19-20 in Little Rock, Ark.
