
Bears Close Out Fall Season at Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Missouri State men's golf team closed out the fall portion of its 2020-21 schedule Tuesday (Oct. 20), placing 14th at the Little Rock Invitational. The Bears found the going tough from the start, posting rounds of 307-297-299 for a 903 total in three trips around the Founders Course at Chenal Country Club.
Host Little Rock shot a blistering 829 to run away with the team title at 35-under-par. Arkansas State faltered in the final round to finish second with 846. UT Arlington was third at 848, one better than ULM and four in front of Louisiana. Abilene Christian was sixth with 853, followed by Southern Miss (861), Texas State and Lamar (863), Louisiana Tech (866), South Alabama (877), Central Arkansas (886), Southern Illinois (893) and the Bears.
Individually, Crimson Callahan led the way for MSU, tying for 44th after shooting 74-76-72--222. J.P. Lavalle tied for 59th after carding 77-72-77--226, while Max Kreikemeier was next for the Bears with 77-74-77--228 to tie for 67th. Eric Schuessler posted 230 for the Bears, while Lukas McCalla had 240 and Eric Byun 242.
