SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State's women's tennis team commences its 2020 spring schedule with two weekend matches against North Dakota (Jan. 24) and Creighton (Jan. 26) in Omaha, Neb. The Bears face North Dakota Friday night at 7 p.m. and square off against the Bluejays on their home court Sunday at 9 a.m.

The Bears were selected fourth in the MVC preseason poll, being one of three teams to garner a first-place vote and completing the poll with 27 points.

Missouri State showcased an impressive fall showing, highlighted by
Ellie Burger's flight three individual title and
Anna Alons and
Alyson Piskulic's flight two doubles sweep at the MVC Individual Championships in October.
Alye Darter and Burger also made a run at the ITA Central Regionals, earning victories against Arkansas and Tulsa to compete in the round of 16.

Last year, MSU fended off a late Creighton rally, nipping the Bluejays, 4-3, at Cooper Tennis Complex.
