LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Missouri State's volleyball team was honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Monday as a recipient of the organization's Team Academic Award for the seventh consecutive season.
Missouri State recorded a 3.44 cumulative GPA for the year, easily surpassing the 3.30 GPA barrier needed to qualify, notching a 3.45 GPA during the fall semester and posting a 3.43 GPA in the spring.Â
The Bears will host the annual Maroon and White Scrimmage on Aug. 24 at Hammons Student Center. Missouri State posted the program's 20th consecutive winning record, both overall and in MVC play, in 2018, and returns 65 percent of total kills, 83 percent of assists, 59 percent of aces, 57 percent of the digs and 58 percent of the blocking from that squad.
