CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Leading the Missouri State women's tennis team in singles victories, including a perfect league mark, sophomore Ellie Burger earned the 2019 Missouri Valley Conference All-Conference team selection at the No. 6 spot, as announced by the conference Thursday.  
 
Burger played a quintessential role in the Bears' spring season, racking up a 13-3 dual record. She proved consistent for MSU in conference action, maintaining a spotless 5-0 mark against MVC opponents. Her 13 victories set a personal best for Burger, and also led the Bears in singles wins.
 
The Chesterfield, Mo. native won nine of her last 10 matches for the Bears down the stretch.
 
This is Burger's second All-MVC selection. She won in the No. 5 position last year.
 
MSU will face Drake in the quarterfinal round of the MVC Women's Tennis Championship tomorrow (Apr. 26) at 9 a.m.
