CHESTERTON, Ind. – The Missouri State women's golf team holds third place after 36-holes of the 2019 Missouri Valley Conference Championship.
The Bears put together a solid day one, recording a 301-306—607 at the Sand Creek Country Club. MSU's 31-over par day one performance is only nine shots behind top ranking Drake.
Abby Cavaiani led the way for the Bears on the leaderboard, carding a 3-over par through two rounds of action. Cavaiani currently is one shot behind the leader, moving up seven places in the second round to sit tied for third place.
Posting an even par opening round,
Ashley Childers marked a 7-over par 151 day to move into a tie for 11
th.
Allison Bray finished the day 13-over par and is tied for 33rd, while
Rachel Johnson dispatched a 14-over par two round performance to rank 35th. Rounding out the Bears lineup,
Bridget Schulte recorded a 15-over par 159.
The final round of the 2019 MVC Women's Golf Championship is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. off holes one and 10. The Bears' tee times begin at 9:20 a.m. from hole one.
