SPRINGFIELD – Looking to continue its win streak, the Missouri State women's tennis team heads to Texas for a pair of matches against Texas State and University of Texas – San Antonio.
The Bears begin Sunday, March 10 at 11 a.m., taking on Texas State, before traveling to San Antonio, Texas to face the Roadrunners on Tuesday, March 12 at 10 a.m.

In their lone match of the week, the Bears made quick work of their opponents in doubles action, as duo
Alye Darter and
Mara Presot routed Tech in the No. 2 spot, 6-1, for the opening point.
Anna Alons and
Ellie Burger banked doubles in a 6-4 decision. The duo represented the Missouri Valley Conference as the doubles team of the week.
Missouri State's momentum continued into singles play, where Coach Weber's squad would earn five consecutive singles points.
Presot clinched the match for the Bears in a hard-fought 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 battle. The win was Presot's first singles victory of the spring.
Clara Gandera-Gonzalez leads the Bears with 11 wins this season, including five victories in dual matches. She is 4-1 in No. 5 matches this season. Alons, Burger and
Fati Khamissi have four victories in singles matches this spring.
Texas State holds a 3-5 record, most recently falling to UTSA after a 19-day break. UTSA sits at 7-8, with Laura Cabrera and Kylee Kato leading the team with 7-5 records apiece.
